I really waffled between 3-4 stars, so let's call it 3.5. I liked it. It was quick, easy, and engrossing, but it wasn't particularly deep. Harriet is held at an arm's length, making it difficult to invest in her as a reader. And the whole time-hopping chronology seems to be really in fashion these days, but it worked particularly well for this novel. It's probably not something that will stick with me but it's great for a summer/beach read.
